New CB350F Owner
« on: March 05, 2021, 12:46:40 PM »
I just purchased a 73 CB350F for $850.

So far I've: Rebuilt the carbs, cleaned the fuel tank, adjusted valves, changed oil, new tires, rebuilt master cylinder.

I've got it up to 86mph according to my phone GPS, afterwards it started running funny and I found the dowel pin on the back of the timing advancer chewed up and unable to time. So I have an ebay advancer on the way!

I'm having trouble locating either a CB350F or 400F upper triple clamp since mine is cracked.

Thanks!

I keep on debating if my next bike will be a 350 or 750.

These are great bikes.

Those triple trees are getting hard to find, and expensive. I"m sure you've found that out.

Are you gonna do something with that exhaust?

Not that much of a loss, except the driving time of course - and the frustration. There are other options that aren't that much more expensive. Delkevic makes a nice system for around $350. I'm a fan of the 400F 4-1 but you have to change the pegs and kicker.

Welcome, nice bike, yeah, those Delkevic exhaust look nice and sounds good.

I also had to find a triple top, as mine was cracked. Found a reasonable priced one years ago.

Hope I don't break this one.

Just wish I could get it to run.

running 99%, still need to tune the carbs a little. Got an exhaust on it.  Rode around all Sunday with the gf, only died once lol, to what I assume was vapor lock.oh and dropped down a gear on its own while going up a bridge which was terrifying lmao. I bought a 400F triple tree clamp off ebay for $115..still need to install..

Here's a pic at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
