Rear Brake Operating Shaft
« on: March 08, 2021, 06:35:08 PM »
Getting the s/c down to a bare frame. On ALL my cb750’s I usually drill and tap the cross tube that locates the the rear brake pedal pivot shaft, and install a grease nipple. Underneath, where it can’t be seen. Install a rear ward facing, 90 degree grease fitting. Slip a small washer under the threaded part and loctite it in place (after frame paint). Makes pumping some grease in there a little easier. One of the few real oversights on these bikes.

I usually knock the Honda lubricators out of the swing arm cross bolt and drill/ tap them as well. For a decent set of grease nipples. For “originality’s sake” probably won’t do this one......
