Paint scheme CB750 F2
« on: March 15, 2021, 12:31:46 am »
Hi All,
Just redoing a CB 750 F2 1978 , can anyone tell me the paint scheme for the engine.  It appears by pictures it was satin all satin black , with polished metal tappet access ports, chrome points and  clutch covers. The alternator cover Im not sure of, is it chrome or black?
Thanks

Alternator cover is black
If it works good, it looks good...

The "chrome" covers may just be polished aluminum covers, far easier to maintain long term and polish aluminum covers do not suffer from peeling chrome layer or delaminating chrome plate.

Yes chrome points cover, starter cover and clutch center disc.
Valve tappet caps were polished aluminum on all the SOHC models 69-78 including the 78F model as well as the oil gallery cap.
Alternator was black with the center round area polished.
