77 CB550K PD46 Idle Mixture Screw O-Ring size?
« on: March 21, 2021, 06:31:57 PM »
Hey guys,

Just want to know what the dimensions are for the idle mixture screw o-ring on the PD46 series carbs.  Would rather order some from McMaster-Carr instead of having to buy four of 16016-KCY-670.

Thanks!

Very small and are the metal washers there between spring and O ring to protect O ring?
Both can be bought from Sitius in canada

Thanks, but holy cow they want $14 just to ship it ground to me!  I'm assuming the 2.8mm is the ID and 1.2mm is the thickness?

Yes, the carbs do have the washers for the springs, but thanks for the reminder.

Thats right
Yea, the shipping is a killer, so I add up everything I need from them for a single order.
They have the push in jets, bowl screws and rings, bowl gaskets etc.
The shipping used to be $8.00 if I remember correctly

That sucks.  I checked McMaster-Carr and they do not have that size.

I already put new OEM float bowl gaksets, screws, and float needles on it a year or so ago.  I really just need these o-rings.  I know it needs them.  Bike runs fine, but idle could be a little better and I know they are a bit spent.

Does anyone have extras from this kit they could just send me for the cost of shipping or does anyone know of a US supply house?  Really am not interested in paying $30 for 4 o-rings.

I checked on several spare o-rings I have from carb kits and I cannot confirm a size match.

I see yours in at least two places:

https://newmotorcycleparts.net/fuel_system_parts/indv_gl_carb_parts.html

https://www.z1enterprises.com/keihin-carb-o-ring-28x12-1.html

Shipping will still be more than the parts..., but better than $40. First link has a $10 minimum so you would have to find a few more $ in parts to reach that.

OK.  I went ahead and ordered it from Z1.  Never used them before, but thanks for the heads up.  Significantly cheaper than SCI!
