Which Dyna ignition?
« on: March 23, 2021, 01:33:38 PM »
Which of the Dyna ignition was the bad failure rate model? I've read of failure by some but don't remember which ones....
I've seen a set of nos Dyna S offered and don't want to buy the wrong one. Going on a 74 CB750.

I'm still unclear from that link or your "My Dyna-S newer model than the failing. "

My model was the newer Dyna-S. OK
The previous model reported with a bad batch as I understood it.

Here photo of mine, purchased 2014.

Edit:
I should not buy that old, not cheap kit. It might be faulty.
I guess it can be the failing version.  3ohm coils?

I trust this more.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Electronic-Ignition-Kit-Honda-CB750-1969-1978-w-5-ohm-Coils-NGK-Resistor-Caps-/184670878776?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

I paid not much more than $110US + shipping for my last set of Dyna 5ohm coils, eBay USA.

There are kits with Dyna-S and 5 ohm coils (black) on eBay.
Dynoman has too.

Thanks Per. I thought it was expensive and wasn't sure of it's being one of the possible bad units.
