I get my custom sprockets here:

https://sprocketspecialists.com/product/rear-sprocket/

Thanks mate, I just ordered a 48 tooth rear, $125.99 USD with shipping, but as Frank rightly says, sprockets are cheaper than cases. Of course I might still use my little front sprocket along with the 37 tooth rear I bought for the lester rear wheel until the new one arrives, but as you all know, "Safety" is my middle name, so I promise I'll be careful until then......... ;D

I really like the ones I've received from them so far. I was able to fine tune my final gearing on the drag bike to my liking. They are even pretty reasonably priced considering that they are custom tooth counts. I can even go all the way up to 76 teeth on the rear if I wanted to unleash my inner "stunta"...  ;D

I though "Give'er" was your middle name...

Ha ha, yeah, that was a bit of "tongue in cheek" humour mate, as most folks here know, I have a terrible predilection for self harm. My mother constantly tells me that she wonders how I ever survived as long as I have, a doctor once told me that I've broken more bones than Evel Kneivel, and I was even banned from riding motorcycles by the Army doctor after I had several injuries due to a couple of crashes less than a week apart, back in the day when CB750's had sh1t tires from the factory, and I took too many risks....... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, very true Mark, a mate of mine was whining because he had his license suspended for a month for doing 25 MPH over the speed limit, (60 MPH) and I wondered what would happen to my license if I was booked when doing 170 MPH in a 60 MPH zone on my SP1?

Of course if one Kangaroo decided to cross the road right then, I wouldn’t need to worry about what the cops would do to me...... ;D

The good thing with an old CB750 is that you enjoy the ride, views and life in lower speeds!

Make them go faster means good acceleration passing 200kmh and a tiny bit more.

"Do the ton" is usually enough. Still not good if an animal attack the bike ;D

Yes Per, I think you know I actually have 2 SP1's, the second one came to me after the owner hit a Kangaroo at 60 MPH, and he hit the big grey fcuker so hard that it cracked open all the welds on the alloy frame. I bought another undamaged frame from the US, and as mine wasn't a "write off, I'm having an engineer transfer the VIN number (legally) so I can put it back on the road. If he'd hit it at 270 KPH, (170 MPH) Boris wouldn't have survived to do the trade with me me......... ;D

I was asked to buy a colleague's and old biker friend's Kawasaki ZX-12R  year 2000 in a really good shape, only 8000 km. His bikes have always looked better than new.

Yoshi mufflers and tuned with power commander. Probably 200hp on crank.

Not much money, but ensurance would most likely be not cheap and I saw myself give full throttle at 250kmh as the owner said was awesome! Survive that?

If my garage would be bigger it would be nice to have it.

The owner has recently bought a KTM 790, fun bike with less power.
I think he learned from his biker years in the 80's and forward with all very close to death moments.

Yep, it's always been a "Right of Passage" when I buy a bike to find out how fast it will actually go, so while I don't do those speeds all the time, I do enjoy riding at stupid fast speeds now and then. I'm 61, I've had a great life, if it ended tomorrow, I'd have no regrets. ;D

Turn around times were fairly short for me, although that was pre-covid and prior to the USPS imploding in slow motion. I am waiting on a small package of electronic parts right now that has been languishing in a Madison, Wisconsin post office for over a week...  :(

Thanks Wilbur, I removed the "pullback" bars and stepped seat from my K2 Bitsa yesterday and thought about installing the Lesters and doing the sprocket change later, but it looked so good with the lower bars and seat (I still need to put my new seatcover on, plus the stainless trim) but it looked so good I decided I can wait for the custom sprocket to arrive before I take the Henry Abes off. ;D

You'll be sitting in a far better riding position with lower bars on it I'd imagine.

Yeah mate, anything over 60 MPH on my K0 with it's high OEM bars creates the "Windsock Effect", and the "Pullbacks" were worse as your wrists are turned in, making it feel like your hands are continuously sliding off the bars, and on one occasion, one of the "Oury" grips came off in my hand @ 90MPH, which was a tad disconcerting.

I've put new OEM Honda grips on it now, and they don't come off. The lower bars shouldn't put too much extra stress on my back, shoulders and neck like it would if I installed flat bars or clipons, it should be a nice neutral riding position. ;D

That bike has a very tough look and nice stance!
The handlebar is like low "Euro bar"?
My K2 has that with wiring inside, 72cm. It could have been a little bit wider, brake banjo too close to the tacho.

My K6 an aftermarket with similar height but a little bit wider, wiring outside. The wider placement of grips feels nice. Total width 80cm. It was even wider, I cut it.

The perfect compromise for a comfy ride and control feeling.

I tried clubman for a short while, it had wrong angles with grips too much inwards, horrible.
The only version I would like is the adjustable "Laverda" bar made by an Italian company.

Thanks Per, no idea where those bars came from, I've probably got 20 pairs of handlebars in my garage because I never throw anything away, so I just went thru the pile until I found them. They're not as wide as my K0 bars, but plenty wide enough, and easier to get thru my side gate without knocking the mirrors out of focus.

I have two pairs of Laverda Jota adjustable handlebars here, one original set that I took off my Laverda 750SF in 2009, and a set of "Raask" repro's that I had on my K1 years ago, with rearset pegs. The joke with Laverda Jota handlebars is that they have "100 different positions, and every one uncomfortable". They do look good though, they're probably the best looking handlebars ever put on a motorcycle. I should sell them, the Raask (Swedish) repro ones are hard to find now, and the original Laverda bars are worth stupid "Sandcast parts" money. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

There are these if anyone else following along is interested, for a repop they're getting $100USD so most of us won't afford the genuine article let alone find a set.

Personnally I prefer handle bars without any bolted joints. They are generally stronger in an off situation. They also bend rather than breaking off at the bolted joint area. Clubman bars aint that expensive. I have a set on my bike. They put me in the perfect riding position for my  lanky 6' 61 year old frame on my CB550F.  I've got CB400//4 instruments and a small bakini fairng and flow is directed just above my helmet forhead area and 2" from the ends of the bar grips- ie perfect. I cat off 1" from end end of the handle bars I buy. Pulls the hands/arms in a bit closer to the bike reduce the wind sail effect therefore reducing drag.

Being in front of the steering head stock they have a quick turn-in which will/can take a bit to get use to. Very handy around town and in the tighter back country road stuff.

I don’t know how good those cheapies are, but the originals don’t break in an “off”, my original Jota bars are slightly bent and ground down on the throttle side where the bike was dropped @ 60 MPH, and slid down the road for so long it ripped open the fuel tank and tore the seat and footpeg off.

I’ve never been a fan of Clubman’s though, I’ve ridden bikes with them, and the only comfortable position for them is to put them on upside down, then the make nice touring bars. ;D

Roads are quite curved around these parts. No 100 mile plus straights :) My setup does quite well on gravel surprisingly enough. Though I'm pretty, let's say, couscous on it.

It is very comfortable for me. Can ride all day long with this set up no problems at all.

These days the general traffic is very good with all the speed enforcement in place. 100kmp open road speed limit. I toodle along in the 105-110kph range and am passing the majority of traffic on the main roads But generally avoid them as much as possible preferring back country routes. Takes longer but a lot more fun...

Great pics mate, I’m 61 also, and 6’4”, but not a fan of Clubmans. Carpy made them popular world wide but he’s a bullsh1t artist, and has made tons of money out of gullible Americans. He was a “postie” (postal delivery man) here in Melbourne (no, not an Aussie, a Brit who lived here for awhile) and has convinced bikers in the US that “Clubmans” are the way to go. Personally, I think they’re sh1t. ;D

Yanks seem to be a bit more gullible  to market hype than us riders  down under.:)

An EMGO nz$100 muffler outlasted the OEM $$$$$  Honda one for decades longer and still perfectly fine.

I don't have a Honda shrine with purple scented candles burning in my bedroom that I prey to each morning ;)

Oil thread? Did someone say "Oil Thread? I luuuuv oil threads. Been using Aussie cheap Gulf Western 20w50 from SuperCheap Autos on my CB550F for years. I never used "motorcycle specific oils" on any of the motorcycles I've owned since I started riding ;). Use the money saved for petrol.
