Received a email (at "The S.O.H.C. Drawer@gmail.com" ) from a guy who is looking to either replace his 1972  cb500 rear drum or machine it.  He heard at a locate "previously enjoyed"  bike yard that I deal in cb750 parts here at home.  Are the drums interchangeable with cb750 drum's or does anyone have a good '72 rear drum.
Let  me know at The S.O.H.C. Drawer@gmail.com

CB750 drum, spokes differ, you need cb500 or cb550

They both have 40 spokes but it's very likely there are serious differences in the hub diameter/width, rim size, brake plate, axle diameter/length, and sprocket setup plus alignment to the engine (the 500 doesn't have the 750's extra sprocket carrier bearing as far as I know).
So possibly - with way more work than it's worth - a 750 hub could be made to fit?
You should be able to find a 500 hub or complete wheel on ebay?

That's what I was thinking.  All the various parts have differences.  Just trying to get proper info before I engage my  mouth then engaging my mind (mouth open vs mind in neutral.)  Thanks for the help.  Anyone have a good previously enjoyed hub in the London ON area?

The 500 is know to crack, you have the choice of fitting a 550 wheel but i know the K3 is different and not sure about the F if, however, you have the complete wheel with brake plate spacers and spindle the whole assembly should fit ok
