75 cb750k tool storage ideas?
« on: April 08, 2021, 10:52:03 AM »
The bike comes with that tiny little tray... I want more.  I am thinking about fabricating a box out of some sheet metal to squeeze in there next to the battery.  Anyone done this? Any ideas about how to create a 3D template for the sheet metal pieces?  I can cut weld rivet whatever. I just can’t really play 3d chess, and Mr Spock isn’t taking my calls.
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

Just make a template out of cardboard from a cereal box. That is what I did when I made the bracket up for the solid state reg/rect mounting bracket on my CB550F.

A shop that secilises in plastic containers may well have something suitable as well.
