Tank badge

The new OEM tank badge does not fit completely flush with my tank. I would like to not remove it for fear of damaging my beautiful new paint. Is there any way of getting it to conform to the curve of the tank without removal? I understand that Honda went to one part number for these badges for both sides of the tank rather than a left and right

Rubber mallet. Put sone mastkng tape around the edges first.

Take a pic further out so we can see it more, I'm sure it looks fine without messing with it.  I think it will be noticeable to only you :)

My first post was a bit touge in cheek. The bagdes where never perfectly contured to the tank originally iirc. It looks fine.

Be real careful with any bending activity - the originals bend a bit but any replicas will likely be made of cast zinc alloy - they don't bend they break - I know this....

K2 badge is for one side only when Honda stopped making them.
Bend it for the other side easier said than done. Mine was not that good.
It will easy bend sharply between the letters, not a soft bend.

I bought a set of replica badges for my 550; the supplier\manufacturer advised bending to fit the contour of the sidecover by heating badge in hot water. Seemed to work.

Don't try to hit/tap it in - rather than the badge ending up flush, the tank will bend in - I know! :(

Agree. Either leave it or remove. Couple of layers of masking tape over paint and gently lever off. I made a wooden former (mostly cut out with jigsaw) that fitted each side and pressed badges into it.
