What looks like a pattern part coil (shorter length) just fried itself. Too hot to touch, now nothing.

Anyone know if I can run incandescent indicators up front with LED at the rear?

Thanks

I could use some help on the brake callipers.
I plan to run with banjo fitting direct to calliper.
Anyone got a method to remove the insert that’s preventing the bolt from running in?
Thanks.

I used a drywall screw, maybe 1.5"?  Anyway, long enough that you have something to grab.  Gently screw it into the insert, then lever it out with some pliers.  I don't remember it taking a whole lot of brute force, but it has been a few years since I did it.
If it works good, it looks good...

Thanks. Assume the insert is press fit, not threaded?
Also there’s a small lip on the calliper did you bother to file that off or just seat the copper washer in there?
Thanks

I did not file the lip off, as I was not intending to use a banjo bolt...i used 2 hardlines on my dual disc setup.  I just needed to move the insert to the bleed screw hole so both sides would be symmetrical.
If it works good, it looks good...

Finally got all the wiring sorted - what a headache.
Mix of incandescent up front and LED at the back means the indicators don’t yet flash but everything else works ok.
I hadn’t figured on the happy brake light set up however.

Bit of an update -
Managed to extend the lead on the secondhand coil using a copper nail and some shrink wrap. Works perfectly.
Thanks someone for the tip on wiring in the electronic tach. Also works perfectly.
Finally got some primer on the tank (should have done better with filling the indents) and bump seat.
Need to figure out how to fix a pad of some sort. And clean the paint off the rear lights.
Found an adjustable ‘resistor’ on eBay that allows decent flash rate with incandescent and LED indicator mix.
Making very slow progress but almost there.

You may want to add some seat foam material toward the edges.  Right now you have more foam protruding into your nuts and ass, which won't be very comfortable except for very short rides.  On longer rides, it will apply pressure on those parts of your body.  If you ride aggressively, it will not provide any support as you hang off to your ass cheek, and you will tend to slide off the seat.

Just my$0.02.

Thanks for the heads up. That was just quick look.
I made a base just now and mocked up something a lot better.
Need to work on how to cover it.

Creeping forwards.
My daughter sorted the saddle so I added a couple of tape stripes to the primer. Could work if I had the skills.
Next stop fix the leaking carb - wish I’d used allen head bolts.
And uncover the tail lights.

I need some help diagnosing a top end oil leak please.

Looks to be coming from the internal area around the barrels.

Hopefully photos explain.

Thanks
