cb400f engine swap question

Hello,

I am looking to buy a replacement engine for my 400 k0 e on eBay, are all the k0 engines compatible?

Yes, although an F2 (1977) is slightly different but will work just the same. Exhaust mounting studs on the head are shorter so you will either need the F2 exhaust flanges are swap out the studs.

Why not rebuild yours, all the engines are over 40 years old and most have similar problems
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!
