Cleaning Seat Logo / Decal Without Damage?
« on: April 12, 2021, 07:47:54 AM »
Hey guys,  on my CB350F the HONDA logo on my seat is pretty tan and dirty.  I want to clean it up but I wanted to be sure of anything / products to avoid?  I feel like once in my past I tried to do this with a Yamaha seat and the logo ran, like how bleachy white will take off the paint on campers - another thing I did.

Any tips?

Thanks

there are good vinyl cleaners and dressings specifically for vinyl. I've used products from Griot's garage, or marine vinyl cleaners/dressings. (for my boat). I'd just make sure they're for vinyl. I've had no problem with the honda logo on my 75 550F's stock seat and I've owned the bike since 1994.
    I can't speak for a reproduction seat's logo.
I'd avoid anything with a bleach, degreasers etc.

I use window cleaning agents for my bikes and helmets with visor. Painted areas as well as the rest of the bike.
Work fine as partial cleaning,  better than nothing wash in the garage.

Hot soapy water. I generally use a cheap dish wash detergent.

Fantastic Spray, works well. May dry out the material, so a good treatment afterwards....l
