Topic: CB550 Exhaust Interchangeability

For my project bike - CB550 engine into a Wards frame - I would like to use, or at least start with the Honda pipes. My engine is a mid 70s 550, but I see a lot of 1983 Cb550 pipes on eBay. Would 83 pipes fit on a mid 70s engine.

80s pipes wont fit your 70s 550, dont waste your money. There are a few guys selling 550 pipes in the "for sale" section, Im sure you can find what you need there...ranging from some beat up single headers, ok shape 4-1 550 headers, and a nice moto gpwerks pipe.
