The baggers will be out west riding with AHRMA this next weekend. They are no joke speed-wise, though they go against everything motorcycle racing stands for in my mind, lots of extra crap on the bike that isnt needed.

i think that about your bike , why on earth do you need valves and camshafts !

The answer to your question though. If wasn't for the four strokes fat bastards like me would never get to race competitively. I had a TR Suzuki many years ago and it wouldn't pull the skin off a custard with my fat ass on it!
I think I broke it's heart in the end. ???

i started racing as a passenger on a t500 outfit  as a 14 year old school kid it felt bloody fast  !
any way you should have bought a tz750 and been done with it bear

I wish I could get my Road Toad down like that, but there is too much crap hanging low. (Like the kickstand)

not many bikers or vehicles actually around here so I don't run into the problem of slow riders very often. Besides in Vermont, USA you can pass on a double yellow line (if it is safe to pass and you are not doing over the speed limit).

And.... a 1..2...3    Win for Harley Davidson at Road America,
 1 and 2 taken  by 2 brothers, racing for the Factory Team. I think the one brother had not ridden any of the bikes before the event..! This ought to heat the Rivalry up...
 Next race July 11, Lauguna Seca....

But Frank, reason they won I heard was because Indian had a mechanical problem and failed to finish race... Is that true? If so, then HD still has work to do to be able to win...

Not mention,  the Wyman's lap times are, of course, much faster on their sport bikes...dont get me wrong, i think battle of the baggers is an ingenious gimmick to get the ignorant interested in road racing

Failing to finish is common in racing. I am sure a few Harleys DNF as well.
 Just because Indian won  the first 2 races does not mean they will win them all, that could get boring .

 I dont know about ignorant... a lot of people  simply like watching what they ride competing.. and in this case it is A LOT OF People. Myself I wouldnt watch most roadracing, except vintage superbike, sidecars, and niw bagger racing..  but that is jmo..
