Separate cases
« on: April 29, 2021, 01:37:15 AM »
I have to separate the cases of a 78a. Im sure all bolts are out but they will not separate. Any suggestions? These parts are unobtainable in europe so its nervous business.

Only thing still in place its the oilplate, but the manual says it can stay. Since im gonna iceblast the cases that must come out also i think. Any pointers on that?

Im used to work on cb750's just not an hondamatic

I think you have missed an M6 bolt.
In starter motor area or a long one from under, close to clutch.
I have missed them a few times.

Used some controlled force, got it. It was a rusty collar at the ignition points that was stuborn.

I hope the endcaps can be reused since they are n/a?
