1977 Honda Cb750k exhaust Question
« on: May 03, 2021, 11:13:57 AM »
So i ended up buying a aftermarket 4-1 pipe from a guy on facebook who said it was off a 1978 cb750. This turned out to be from a 750f super sport. How could i go about converting it so i can use it on my engine. the pipes fit fine but i cant get the collar to hold them to the engine securely.
if anyone has dealt with this please let me know i would greatly appreciate it

Did the aftermarket pipe you bought come with its own split collars that may have come with it originally ?  I have seen an aftermarket one I had that used different collars then stock.
Maybe some more details on the fitment issue might help for suggestions.

it did not come with any split collars it came with just the pipes and a decent sized flange

all i have are the stock collars and it fits around the pipe but the collar shims wont fit around the new pipe so the collar wont put pressure on it and stay in place im sure if i left it like that it would eventually fall out.
the pipes themselves did fit pretty well in the holes but just couldnt mount them properly
