Just last week I ordered some gel grips at the local honda dealer.
There was a 919 on the showroom floor so I had to sit on it.
Nice feel, tank looks wide from above but I could live with it.

Anyway, that was their last one and a fellow bought it a few days later.
He made it 200 feet, yep 200 feet before he wrecked it.
Evidently, pulled out of the dealership to the stop sign.
Pulled out in a left turn and must have gassed it on those new tires,
down he went and bike off the bank.

Well gee that would really suck! I bet the salesmen were rolling on the floor at that one! Still you have to feel sorry for the guy. It is something that people should be told. It is not common sense no matter what you might think.

That's why we take all new bikes out for a "shake down" ride after we un-crate and assemble them.

Tough life, I know. ;D

i guarantee your setup guys don't take them for a 50-200 mile ride and scrub the tread at good lean angles which is what is needed.
a setup test ride is not intended for this purpose and don't tell your customers it is.

That used to happen all the time when I worked at the old V-Twin shop.
Guys would blast outta our dealership with brand new tires and dump it .
