Er, that one that sold at Mecum last week for 55k wasn't a sandcast though.

It's odd it sold so well, as far as I know it's the 3rd highest price for 750 ever, behind only the auctions for the prototype and the Bimota HB1.  There was only 1 sandcast at Mecum last week, a very nice restored one, it made 32 or 33k.

It's odd it sold so well, as far as I know it's the 3rd highest price for 750 ever, behind only the auctions for the prototype and the Bimota HB1.  There was only 1 sandcast at Mecum last week, a very nice restored one, it made 32 or 33k.

They have updated the article quite a bit to reflect that the bike wasn't a sandcast or even one with some rare provenance, just a nice die cast bike.
