CB750K7 Carb #4 drips
« on: May 16, 2021, 04:43:58 PM »
Just restarted my CB750K7 rebuild with very nice rebuilt carbs from Vintage Carb Shop - bike started right up and runs well - however I have a slow drip from the #4 carb overflow (the fitting on the bottom) as well as an intermittent miss on cylinder 4 - I think the items are linked what do I check next?

If it's overflowing, there is excess flow.

The first thing I would do is check the float and needle. It may be a case of a small bit of debris keeping it open.

Slow drip sounds like float height or hairline crack in overflow tube.  Steady drip could simply be a stuck float, tap the sides of the carb to free it.
