Hondas Candy Ruby Red is paint code R4C.

I feel like that's a google question.
Not helpful at all. R4C is the Honda code and means nothing to a painter mixing colours.

Fair enough. Also, previously stated, so, I fail to see how reiteration of the obvious advance the conversation.

Can any one give me current day brand and paint code for 1971 Candy Ruby Red .

My painter said he can get pint a lot cheaper and better quality  than the the regular vintage paint suppliers like ColorRite.
My other option is to get a part and he can scan it to get the right color.
Thanks for your help Fred
Pull some photos off the inter web. An expert painter can match it up pretty close. Anything wrong with this color?

Whether you like the quality or not, there just is NOTHING that looks like real candy.  The process is what makes it look like that.  Dont do the process?, it will just not look the same.
If it works good, it looks good...

This is why I sprung for a Yamiya set of tank/side covers/fork ears/headlight. They seem to have worked out the paint issue and I bet they don't tell anyone how they do it.
My tank stripe is painted on and cleared over, very nice work.
