Anyone ordered Hagon shocks recently?
« on: May 18, 2021, 07:15:40 AM »
Now that Dave Quinn has retired I guess you have to order Hagons from the UK. Anyone done this recently? Just wondering how the process went, how long they took to get here and how much shipping was.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

I purchased a pair for my CX500 last year from OmniaRacing via EBay for $192 plus $60 shipping. I think they were delivered within two weeks.

Did they give you the option to customize them in any way, or are they just direct replacement for the stockers?

I don’t recall that option but I was just looking for a modern, quality, direct replacement.

+1 on Omnia Racing.  I ordered mine directly from their website.  They ask for rider weight and riding style, plus you can order with the stainless caps.  I got a set with the caps for $260 delivered.

EDIT:  I ordered them on 2/18, they shipped on 3/2, and arrived from Italy on 3/4.  I guess it took a couple of weeks to get a tuned set from the vendor.

British cycle supply in Nova Scotia with Maine outlet for USA is a Hagon dealer, nice folks too.

Choose your springs carefully. I’m 225lb and 23 kg springs were too much,  20 kg springs set on lowest preload now as of this season are OK but I haven’t given them a good workout yet.
