Is everything tight back there?  the rod from the frame to the brake plate?  How are the brake shoes?  Is the cam going over center?

Sounds like you snapped one of the springs that hold the brake shoes together.

I opened a topic about it a while back

That's the normal behaviour of the CB750. Just learn to live with it.

I just replaced my shoes on my 500 and the my local Honda Stealer didn`t have the springs so I went to Advanced Auto Parts and they let me go through their car brake kits,I found a perfect match for my old springs and all is good.

raul,i know what you mean by its a somewhat normal thing for these bikes, but this issue is not normal.im still leaning toward the broken spring thing.

The easy lockup on a 750 is normal, but the loud clunk isn't. The springs are part #95014-74320 and still available from Honda for around $2.15 each.

www.servicehonda.com

They have an $8.00 minimum shipping charge, so if you are just going for the springs it might not be worth the money. If you already have a brake shoe kit with the springs coming, that's probably your best bet.

Come to think of it, I think I ordered some stuff from them awhile back and they wrote me saying a few of the items were no longer available, although the website said they were. Oh well..
