dial back timing lights can be so wrong,they have an electronic stall timer,i only trust normal strobes,if you need to use them on a car use a fully degreed balancer or mark it yourself.
Wound up getting a few of my timing lights together plus borrowed one from a friend that does not have inductive pickup just straight connection between plug and boot. With the dial type turned completely counterclockwise and taped down, I was reading near exact readings on all three lights when compared together.
