Thinking of motorcycles, all 66 of them
« on: June 05, 2021, 03:35:08 AM »
Well, the time has come, I've been given the Word by the wife to get rid of most of my 66 motorcycles. The only requirements are you must take ALL 57 of 66 (I'm keeping the Kawasaki s1/s2/h1's and maybe the cb550's & cb750), and you have to make a reasonable financial offer. Here's some pictures:

That's quite the lot of bikes you have.
Location and a few teaser pics might get more traction on the interest.

Looking through the file directory was a bit of a chore, it'll take some time for someone to do an appraisal to make a fair offer.

Just transporting all of that will cost a small fortune.

Honestly I think you'd have better luck on eBay or selling them individually.

Best of luck with your sale!

That’s quite a collection, you might have Terry beat! Sounds like you’re keeping her, right?

That's the thing, I'm sick of all the A$$holes on ebay/craigslist/facebook with all their low ball offers. Not sure I want to continue w/ all the hassles of selling each part individually.

Well at the very least a location would be a hood idea. I'm guessing you are in Canada.
Maybe you could break it up by make/model and sell them as individual packages that way. It might be a little easier to digest for prospective buyers and the person buying would be more knowledgeable of value and offer a fair price.

I focus on one particular make/model and if someone had a collection of them plus parts I would consider buying the entire lot.

Just a few thoughts that might help you out.

Michel's a stand up guy and a long-time SOHC4 member. You can trust in the quality of the parts he's selling. They're worth what he's asking too. I had the urge to lowball him on a seat and tank for my 750k8 last year, but after a short conversation I quickly knew that the parts he had were going to be the best value I'd find, thankfully I'm only about 2 hours away and was able to pick them up in person.

I'd come out for that red Honda Spree scooter, too bad it's long gone. Do you have any more of those?

And the poser's that do actually show up. The last bike we sold the clown looking at it is talking himself up about how he's a real biker and rides a custom Sportster. So to test him I never turned on the fuel petcock. He came coasting back to the shop saying that the bike is #$%*ed up. I walked over, turned on the fuel, pushed the button and it fired up. Then I told him that it runs better when you turn on the gas. 8) Good thing his girlfriend bought the bike so I didn't have to chew him out for riding other people's bikes with his feet resting on the ignition and stator covers instead of the pegs because he thinks that it looks cool.

I bought one that had a chrome stator cover and gouge marks through the chrome, my brother said the guy wore engineer boots and rode with his feet on the engine covers.

Well, since the "buyer" of all my motorcycles turned out to be a BS artist (same one w;hom won't give me my car back for some reason) I've started selling parts on ebay/craigslist again.

Good luck with your auctions.

Why in the world does someone have possesion of your car ?

I did not see any CB400F parts in your data base. Did I miss them?
