Well this has slipped by a while.....
Did you get it fired up? Did you get the side cover glued up?

I know it's the summer heat there now and you probably aren't out in your shop unless the monsoon season has cooled you down there.
We've been having a lot of high heat here in NH this summer, we even hit 100 with high humidity, lots of mid to high 90s. Tonight is bike night and we are only going to be in the 79 degrees area so that will be a welcome reprieve. (I lived in Vegas and understand the desert heat....)
I changed my handlebars a month ago from the 10" bars that have been on it from 1976, to 2" euro bars. Yes it was a pain the heat up and pull out the wiring. I bought some heat shrink tubing and replaced the old hardened sheaths before pulling the wires into the new bars. The stance of the new bars is not too bad on my broken back. I put on 2 150-200 miles days on it 2 weekends ago.
