Cone Engineering specs
« on: June 15, 2021, 06:45:29 AM »
I'm about to order my cone engineering Quite-r muffler, and they said I need to do some measurements to have them weld on a bracket. Anyone done this before? I know what they are asking for but I've no idea how to describe the measurements and angles that would be needed. I have zero confidence In my own welding skills for this sort of thing, is it something I would just get the parts, mock it up and somehow temp glue or tack weld the bracket in place and find a local shop to complete the weld? I just don't want to ruin it. Or do I just be fine with the idea of them welding on a bracket and me fabbing up an adapter bracket somehow? Seems there should be an easier way.

Take a bunch of pics showing a tape measure between the points of interest. Emails & pics are free...

You could also cut some cardboard to fit the space and punch holes in the spots for the bolts.
