CB400f Cylinder Head Question
« on: June 25, 2021, 12:32:37 PM »
There are 4 chrome cap bolts - they're #10 on the Cylinder Head Cover parts fiche. The shop manual mentions unscrewing these and then attaching a 10mm bolt to the rocker shaft to remove. I want to replace these cap bolts, chrome is shot, they're rusty and ugly. If I simply replace them (if I can find replacements) will all hell break loose or are these actually just plugs? You 400f guys, stop laughing and tell me everything will be okay.

They are just plugs, the top end won't disintegrate or blow up if you remove them 😁😁😁😁
Trust me I'm a Nurse, I promise it won't hurt....much
