Another one from Atlanta
« on: February 21, 2007, 07:27:35 AM »
Hello again from Atlanta. I have had my 75 CB550 Four since November and this is still the only picture I've taken

It had 6K miles on it and I got it for 1500 which I thought was a pretty fair price. I also ride a '79 Vespa ET3 with a little extra pep in the motor. That's where the oil stains are from.
I love the Honda. It took me a while to get used to it and I kept leaving the side stand down and forgetting to turn the fuel back on but I think I've gotten it now. I have bought clubmans and some bar ends for it, but I don't know if I'll make the swap or not.
This is great forum! I love the spell checfk button. I was pointed this way from the Stella scooter forum, too.
Glad to be here.

Welcome
Wow, that`s a real nice looking 550, looks to be all original other than the exhaust.
You`ll get to where it`s second nature to do the routine of petcock on and sidestand up. You`ll definitely find out if you forgot either it starts sputtering a mile down the road or that first left corner is a doozy.
Not like any of us know about that  ::)  ;D

I am planning on it. I don't know when yet, though. Probably Sunday. I'll be the one wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.  ;D

Howdy neighbor, maybe the Atlanta CB owners can get together for a group ride towards Suches, Helen, Elijay area in the near future. Is there a "club" of sorts in the ATL area - do you know?

There has been talk of a club starting up. The local scooter clubs have a lot of people picking up CBFours recently. Nothing "official" yet though. I've always wanted to try out the tail of the dragon.

Well - let me know what y'all find out about a CB club. I guess the dragon is something one should experience once - just so you can say, 'I've done it' - but there are sooo many roads in NE Ga before you even get that far that are just as good and you don't have to deal with the loads of squids and sight-see-ers in RVs. The common place of T.W.Os in Suches is a great rally point - from there you can ride miles of some the best roads in the South.

Welcome HNR!  One pic works for me.  Your 550 looks to be in very good shape.
