Topic: UK motorcycle transportation

Any of you UK owners used a transportation company to move their bikes??

I may have to move mine from Dorset to Herts soon (I know I could probably ride it but the logistics take some figuring out!).   I've asked for quotes from a few companies and the consensus is about £150-£170 which I know is a reasonably figure for what would amount to a days work for a guy with a van.

Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations that's all.

Or perhaps I should organise a cb350f riding relay of some sort so interested persons get a chance to ride a few miles of the distance!! (provided they were fully comp insured on it of course!!).

I used A&G Services for delivery of my 5450 from Leicester to Reading.  Andy Sorby is a true professional, his van is spotless and his packing an loading/offloading exemplary.

I don't know how much it cost as the PO paid

That's a 550 of course...  I don't really have a 5450!!
