Topic: CB550 Seat Hardware - Bracket Dimensions?

Hello all. I'm slowly working my way through my 550, and it's just missing a lot of little bits here and there. It previously had a cruiser seat on it (which a previous owner apparently tossed without thinking) so the original seat seems to just be missing all sorts of bits. I've sourced most of the rubber, but my biggest hurdle is coughing up the $50 or so on ebay for the seat's hinge bracket. That seems a bit expensive for a hunk of metal, so I was thinking of just fabricating my own from some steel I have laying around. Would anybody mind taking pictures of theirs next to a ruler from a few angles?

Which model, F or K?  I may have a spare as I have a couple seats laying around...



Any other bits you may need?  I lost my storage and had to clean it out and have too many parts in my garage....

Whoops, I really should have specified, sorry! It's a '74 K0. I really want to keep this seat, it's been reupholstered with white and I love the way it looks. I also need to find the screws that hold the strap to the seat.

120mm between inner faces, 25mm wide. 25 from bottom of base to hole centre, 10mm offset seat base holes to hinge holes.

Thank you VERY much, this will certainly help me out. My biggest concern was getting the location of the hinge holes correct, I should be able to use this.
