  I was on my F2 years ago and ended up at a stoplight alongside a TL.
The light turned green and it disappeared fairly rapidly.
It sounded deep and soulful but ungodly loud.

Does it have the stock rotary rear damper? I know these bikes had a reputation for being a wheelie machine! I own a very different twin but love the power character on the street. I haven’t the courage to track my Duke yet but hope to eventually.

Yes. It's not as bad as they say it is. That being said it proves I'm not fast 
There must be something wrong with mine as it has no urge to pop a wheelie...

The R is very front heavy, it shakes it's head easily but to wheelie you have to pull the bars a bit or use clutch.

Forgot to mention the work my friend did on the clutch reduced the rattling and clunking at idle to a level I can hardly hear any and hopefully removed the extremely annoying 3-4K vibration.

Oh you have both! Nice. No I was referencing my Duke890r it’s a 125hp and 370lbs psychopath. and that I’m too chicken to track it yet because it’s still worth too much for me to risk it.

No, I have the R model but the wheelie machine you were referring to is the S

Full exhausts are no longer available and used ones seem very hard to find so I'll go with bolt on cans for  now.
I want them to be long like the stock ones and most of the period performance exhaust were so Viper is most likely my choice. Yoshi would be nice but are too expensive.

I ordered a replacement fairing from Motoforza, needs some work still but most of the holes are drilled now.
I managed to repair the original right side fairing so all it needs is fresh paint and new decals.
Also gonna have the belly pan painted black like it should be in this livery.

Our car broke down so I've been forced to do commuting (45km one way) on the TLR.
Funny how much quicker you can travel on a motorcycle

Forgot to mention... the reason I used term "forced" comes down to temperatures... it's still below zero (celcius) in the night and only two or three degrees in the morning.

All of the 3-4K vibration gone, really smooth and enjoyable now

My beloved Tiller lost it's well formed behind yesterday morning 
I was passing a semi and returned to the right lane as I felt something flapping behind my back. Rear seat cover flew under the semi and blew to pieces.
She is a flat a55ed 26 year old now  :'(

Oh yes, I was trying to spot the remainings today. Couldn't find anything.
My wife, who must love me (and the Tiller?) very much, offered to buy me a new one as a early birthday present...  :oI
I think I'll accept the offer and replace the destroyed stock one with a carbon fibre piece 
I'll have it painted to match the stock one but leave just a small stripe of carbon visible.
