Had absolute blast yesterday and my speed wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm not fast but not one of the slowest either. Only one on a last century bike...
On my way back from Alastaro my bike developed an issue I'm trying to solve now, I hope it's something simple.

Couldn't find the actual cause but seems to be working again. Track day on Sunday so hoping for the best.

Three days of riding to work and back, 45km one way, no problems at all. Maybe she was just sick and tired of the slow riding back from the track

These highly-tuned machines need some BLASTS to keep them awake !
Sport bikes suck in traffic..
How many automobiles do you usually pass along the way ? !

All good to go for a trackday in Alastaro tomorrow.
My friend rides his 1984 Suzuki EF based cafe racer so we are hoping for good weather.
My goal is to improve my laptime a bit and my friend hopes to maintain reasonable lines and perhaps ride a sub 3 minute time.

It was ok, a bit of rain every now and then. I was riding in the slow group trying to help my friend get his sub-3 minute time but managed to pull a couple of clear laps myself too.
I didn't quite get my pace to where it was a week ago but a fairly decent 2:29 (for me that is) was my best of the day.

Pasi managed to improve his laptime 21 seconds during the day, from 3:14 to 2:53 so the day was a success for him and his 1984 Suzuki

Same issue I had with the bike after the first trackday of the year got worse after the second trackday.
I removed the TRE and hope it cured the problem. 750km during the weekend and didn't miss a beat.

Improved my PB over seven seconds during the day but once again while riding back from the track, Tiller started behaving badly. TRE must not have been the cause so I removed the PCIII for a change.

My Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II front has seen about 13000km of road and half a dozen track days. Fantastic rubber! I had a matching rear and it was good for 11000km and several track days too.

Cheap Mitas rear worked surprisingly well.

Crashed her today, low speed, no big damage to bike or me. Not sure if it was the front rubber or was there something on the road.

Slippery stuff in the roundabout are the least of my worries around here. The biggest worry here is the knuckleheads that can't figure out how a roundabout actually works.

Saw footage of a car trying to take the shortcut a toss a roundabout...might have worked if center of roundabout wasn't raised 5 feet above the roadway. Vehicle tried to do it at a very good speed to, needless to say the car and driver lost.
Seen some crazy footage of a major highway intersection that if I recall correctly was in Ohio. The video was showing the boneheaded stunts the drivers were using on that, semitrailers truck drivers doing it as well as cars and pickups...must have had a camera on the intersection from a tall light pole from the vantage point of the camera. It was frightening...

TLR steering felt weird and i blamed it on the Bridgestone front and perhaps the steering head bearings being slightly loose. Nope, I pulled the steering damper and noticed there was a significant amount of free play.
Drained it, new 5W oil in. Most difficult thing was to get all the air out but I managed to do it.
Now she feels like the freight train she is again
