CB400F "Jane Honda" Rebuild
« on: August 15, 2021, 05:25:57 pm »
Figured I'd post the progress of a 400 rebuild me and a friend are doing.  Our Friday dad's night out project consists of getting together every week to drink beer, wrench, listen to music and bull#$%*...sometimes we just look at the wrenching that's already been done and just do the other 3 😆.  This neglected bike was sitting for a few years in a nearby garage with a missing/broken side stand, broken but functioning center stand, seized front brake and caliper pivot, no front fender or fork brace, missing right side cover, broken left side cover and a puddle of oil underneath.  That being said, still in pretty good shape just needed some love.  Gas tank, seat and overall condition pretty good with 16K miles on the odometer.  First pic is our mockup of what we were shooting for;  then the timeline of progress.

oh there's more, I just don't know how to post a series of pics apparently.  Looks like it's working, but post doesn't go through.  File sizes may be too large, who knows...

Looking good! Sounds like you are having a good time working on the bike as well. There has apparently been a good balance between "the other three" activities and working on the bike, since you made such a progress. 🙂🍻
