What glue to use?

My label plate (says Oil - High Beam - Neutral) separated from its housing. Anyone have a recommendation for a good glue to re-install (not JB Weld)?

Contact cement. Follow the directions and it'll be on there for good.

Mix up a little bit of water with a few drops of white gorilla glue in a cup. It will foam up and expand...you want it to do this before you apply it. Then apply a very thin coat on the metal keeping a border free of glue near the openings and edges. Apply it to the base and rub it down to spread the glue. You want a very thin coating...a credit card to scrape an even thin coat across the back of the metal plate may help you.
If you can safely clamp it, then do so...
Polyurethane glue adheres dissimilar materials together very well.

Totally agree. Thin coat both parts and let TOTALLY DRY. Caution, once they touch, no chance to re align! Contact Cement (good quality) used correctly is amazing stuff.

Mine had an annoying buzz, so I pulled it off, cleaned it (and the plastic) thoroughly and glued it back on with a generous coating of super glue - it's never buzzing or coming off again! I got lucky as super glue doesn't always stick well to plastic..

This is exactly what I used, but thinned a little with xylene so I could paint it on with a small brush.  Worked like a charm.
