clutch CB750 Ko
« on: August 23, 2021, 10:39:11 AM »
Hi, I am working on a CB750 K0 engine, with number 1035.... that I bought a couple of years ago.
I want to assemble the clutch but now I find that the steel ring part number 22151300000 is missing. I tried several sites selling parts but this item is obsolete.
Does anyone know what the function of this ring is and where I can find one?
If it is no longer available what options what options are left? Replace the cage for a more recent type that has a ring welded on the outside?

Hi...first off, welcome to the SOHC4 forum!

That ring is NLA and may be very hard to find.   I'd start a thread in the Parts Wanted section, one of the guys may have a spare?

Or try calling....

It is a clutch outer ring, hard to find, one will appear on ebay if you really want, easier to buy a later clutch basket.

Could someone clarify what the role of this ring is?

I looks very thin and the ring on the replacement (020) is much thicker.

Is it to catch centifugal forces an prevent to break the lips of the cage?

Sorry Toon I could not help jumping in after all :-)
