Whats wrong with m6 zerks? The rest of the bike is metric after all
That's true! It's just hard around here to get metric ones for some reason. I even ordered them at my local auto parts store and they came in inch anyway, some screw-up somewhere. So, I have a whole box of them, now.  ???

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Or you could just get the exact replacements from Honda, part # 9620130001.  They only cost a few bucks and tap in like the originals.  Just use a tiny socket that fits over the rounded head to tap them in.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

I know it's been a while, but I just installed the 550 swingarm, and the chain is too short.

Any recommendations for new chains......this chain and sprockets, are fairly new, only about 500 or so miles on them.

I also install the brass(bronze) bushing, and wanted to replace the grease zerks, but lost confidence in doing so.

All else seems fine at this moment.

I replace those all the time. The originals just pull out. Grab them with a pair of vise grips and tap back. Somewhere I have a little package with the correct size drill bit and tap for a std. zerk fitting. It only takes a few minutes!

I spec. ordered some 5 x.80mm threads Zerk grease fittings which use a very light twist of an 11/64" drill bit;no sweat to start the tap for fresh Zerks in the original hole(on my bike)from the OEM grease fittings  ;)

So am I'm gonna have to use an offset sprocket on the front????

I'm using my 750 wheel with the 550 swingarm. Wheel fits fine in the swingarm with the spacers as usual.

You will have to put a straight edge on them BUT more important is wheel alighnment, do that first then check sprockets

The 5mm x .80 is closest to the original grease fitting fit in the part:less drilling,saves more material in case I want to go bigger(6mm)later.

Yep, will have to do that. Have a new 530 -ring chain on the way.

Will wait for that. My current chain is too short with the 550 swingarm.

Decided to go with the original push in zerks at the moment, too lazy to do the work to install threaded ones.

That's what I called the counter guys at the local auto parts store after they screwed up my order. I didn't notice they were SAE until I got them home.  They ordered the wrong ones after I told them I wanted metric ones. :(
