As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I know it's been 5 years since last post, however since I'm in the market for either the 29 or 31s, I'm curious if they've gotten better or changed anything up and if so, which is better now for my 836, ported heads, ect motor; the 29s or the 31s?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

I am sure a lot of people will disagree when I say this... I have the mikuni rs34. Motor is a 78 cb750f bored to 836 and they preformed great. Took some time to get them dialed in but once I did they were sweet. No bogging anywhere and good response and power all the way up. Ken at cycle x sells them for like 725 which is a hell of a deal. I get that most people they they are too big for an 836 but I love em.

That's good to know mate, I'm not a fan of CR carbs. I had them on my 836 with the works, and while they were great at WOT, they weren't so good around town, and that useless idle screw buried in the depths of the carbs between #2 and #3 and not accessable on a road bike was just annoying.

I tried to buy some RS34's from CycleX for my 890 engine a few months ago, but they were out of stock, I'll have to watch their site and put in an order as soon as they get some more in. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry, the throttle screw is not in an ideal place on the either BUT I can get to it! Did you have the cr29 or 31?

I had 29's mate, and I believe there is a fix for the idle screw issue, but mine are long gone, as is the bike I put them on, I swapped it for an RC51 SP1. ;D
