CB750 crankcase stamping
« on: August 30, 2021, 09:27:38 AM »
Hello again,

Does the stamping AABBB on the case mean crank bearings are yellow, yellow, green, green, green?

Depends on what the crankpins are stamped

You need to look at the crankshaft markings and case marks and go to the chart.
They were hand fitted by craftsmen. A friend that's built quite a few always uses green. I can't say if that's a good idea or not but he gets by.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Thanks Bryan and Don,

I have got how the coding works now. Very unusual system used by Honda and not very intuitive until you have worked it out, kind of sudoku🥴
