If that's only $3K and IF it's in as good a condition as it looks in the picture IF you don't buy it, don't ever darken this forums doorway again.

Sorry... mybe I got carried away.  There's a a couple of guys around here who are into the old Duc singles.  If you live in the mountains, or have roads where handling counts- they are truely a ball.

Never road one, but I remember when the started showing up in Arkansas and they caused quite a stir (making folks stand up an pay attention). I think it'd be a cool addition to a collection myself.

Keep in mind that it's only $3000 Canadian dollars....for you guys south of the border you'd save a few bucks on top of it...

Think it's about $0.75 or so US.

Trust me, if I didn't have a $4,000 BMW taking up space in my garage, I'd be ALL OVER this little guy.  I don't know enough about them however, and wouldn't know if it's period-correct or what to look for in terms of issues.  Regardless, it sure is pretty and I'd have loved to have owned it.

One day - always another bike around the corner :D

I think "period correct" is a relatively recent thing.  Prior to the '80s, period correct was anything that kept your bike going.  If I used house paint and a brush to paint my Indian, it would be period correct.  Oh...I just remembered- you have a BMW.  That's completely different.  I'll never forget I was at some stinky little ralley and some guy sidles up to me;  "That your R69S over there?" (he looks off in the distance, not at the bike)  Yeah...?
"You do know those aren't the correct front fender brace bolts, right?"   Yaaaaaaaaaa !

Yeah yeah, I'm not a nutcase over it, but if I'm investing money in an old Ducati, I'd like to at least know what I'm buying :)  I don't care if the spoke nipples are correct, but would want to at least know what the tank/seat are from etc. etc.  Not sure if this was a factory spec bike or somebody's creation.

Either way, for the $ it's a bargain if it's as nice as the photos (which they never are).
