Here are some pics of my cb 350 cafe






As you can see, I've got a long way to go.  I'm going to rebuild the motor & bore it out for high comp pistons, maybe some cams.  I'll be adding aluminum rims & doing a custom exhaust.  I bought it probably 10 years ago after it sat for 20+ years in my uncles barn.  Sat on it a million times as a kid & my wife gave it to me for a birthday present.  I've beat it up pretty good & treated it badly (jumped it, rode through my woods like a mx bike, you know .. good fun!).  I need to find someone to do some welding (box the frame, etc), rework the tunnel on the tank - move the pecock, etc.  I'm sure I'll have a million questions for you all sooner or later!

did you know you're missing a shock

I wasnt sure what size restrictions there are, so I figured a link would be best.   Oh .. & yeah one rear shock isnt on - I know that!       I took some pics so I can print them out & doodle a bit.  There are also several bolts that are not tight

Don't tell the others but the 350 Twin is my favorite Honda............. well, maybe second fav. Tough call? Crappy pic attached.

PS.... I now believe that the header on that bike was 1/2 of a 4n2-2 750 pipe. Soooooo one set of 750 pipes= 2 sets of 350 headers The little sticker on the Meg simply said "DOMINATOR"

I recently held one up to my 70 model 350 and it looked like a slight tweak would have it in place. It hangs low under the center of the bike and that confused me back then but it makes sense now that the pipe wasn't made for the twin

I'm also looking for a source for cams.  The inteneded purpose of this bike is street only - probably mostly long weekend rides (150-250mi  .. not too long) & an occasional commute (60 mi's each way freeway) thrown in (however most of my commuting will be done on my SV).  I want it to be fast, light & fun.

I pulled the lower end apart & found lots of metal shavings.  I havnt pulled a lower end apart before & cant seem to find anything obviously wrong.  Bearings look fine, gears look fine, the valves/top end look fine - the pistons were scored a bit, but not enough to cause this much shavings.  Any ideas?  Would you replace all the bearings if you found shavings?  I'm not sure what to do next .. or what I'm missing      I checked & the bits were drawn to a magnet so I guess they are steel.

This guy is on the WERA forum, he has a website, too, looks like he does some good work. Will definately be the route I take if I decide to do another engine for my CB..

He's also got some slick chain sliders. All teflon and such.

It looks like it has a 350/400 four front end. Is that right? The twin has seperate clamps on the bars not a one piece upper tree.

I have a cb500 complete front end (wheel, fork, triple) - it bolted right on

The pistons look an awful lot like the Wiseco's I have from an XR200. (may need some mods to fit to a CB350, not sure yet?)
