How do you store carb jets?
« on: September 08, 2021, 05:55:43 PM »
I need a larger, but efficient use of space, carb jet storage container. As I work on projects and get bikes dialed in I'm ending up with more jets than my little plastic storage case can store and keep reasonably organized. I need a bigger case, with more small sections. It seems more difficult to find this type or storage case with fixed molded in dividers, most I come across have removable dividers that are one fumble away from mixing up all the jets that I can hardly read the numbers on.

I imagine most use some sort of plastic case with small divided sections... But how many sections for different size jets? What's the hot ticket for a jet storage case with molded in dividers?

L0L, I dumped my Holley jet kit a couple years ago. It was quite the treat picking them all up and sorting. I also am not a fan of the removable dividers. Maybe hot glue them in place?

I use small ziplock bags...stuffed into a glass jar.  Yeah, just the other day, I too was thinking I need something better...

My storage setup is a hangover from my youth, when we where using an air cooled TR500 in our dirt track chair. The jetting as was very touchy and tune up time was often short.
So I cut an appropriately sized card from a piece of poly carbonate, then drilled and tapped it to accept the jets in order of size scribed on the card . All in order and no worries about tipping them on the ground and mixing them up.
