Danish company fameous for their design.
https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/se

Their turntable Beogram 4000 series was hot in the 70's.

I have a 2-channel amplifier that use Bang Olufsen ICEPower modules. Class-D amplifier producing good sound, lots of power in a small package and not expensive.

Got my newly acquired Marantz 2235B reformed and serviced, so I swapped out the Pioneer SX-580.
The Marantz definitely drives the Sansui SP-1500's easier.
Woofers have a little more punch without having to crank the volume. Just a richer, meatier sound. FM reception is better, too.

It took half a day but I got the new flip/storage bins organized.  Mostly alphabetical with some genres getting their own space.

I've recently been testing some vintage stereo equipment that my elderly neighbors son gave me from the house for helping him tear apart and remove from the basement a super heavy old antique Chickering upright piano. Cleaning out the house as Mom is in a nursing home. What a ball buster that thing was but most of it is ashes now in my burn pit.
JVC amp and and tuner along with some 12" RTR speakers and an equalizer and cassette tape deck which we know is pretty obsolete now.JVC turntable in the mix also. Amp and tuner work well except the lamps/lights in the tuner are out. Opened it up and took a peek, all fuses check out but not sure how to get to the bulbs easily- crap. No problems with the speakers and they do not have foam surround around the cones which is good. Needle is shot I think on the turntable. More junk in the basement !  :D

Next to my motorbikes, I love my vintage audio equipment.  Have 3 systems setup that I rotate various equipment through.

1960's Sherwood tube receivers....

Aztec Gauguin II speakers.....

Sansui amp & per-amp.....

AR XA, Technics, & Elac turntables.  Lots of tape machines, cassette & reel-to-reel, Teac, Sansui, Nakamichi, Marantz.

I just sold a Sherwood S-5000 II tube amp on eBay. It was a project but still brought good money.

I found a set of Rogers LS 3/5A monitors at the same estate sale that had the Sherwood. I did a little work on them and did REALLY well on eBay!

I wasn't happy with the stain on the record storage cabinets, so we painted them and changed up the office a bit.

GULP - Those speakers did sell very well both times Scott. Seller back out the first time ?, if so that was good for you. I have never heard of those before. Some very nice wood they had.  Between those and the amp that was a very good score at that sale !

Very nice!  I love my old Sherwood's.  They are not bad to work on either.  I've got 3 of the S-8000 receivers and they are all different sounding as they kept modifying the tubes used in them.  The build quality is just awesome.

The first auction went well, but all bidders were in China. When tariffs, insurance, shipping costs, etc, were factored in, we all agreed it was best to not go forward.
I still did very well on them.

I still have a Pioneer EQ from the same estate sale I may list.

Scott,do those Rogers require a special equalizer/amp to use only 8 ohms impedance ?

No.... just a powerful amp. They're 15 ohms, which is the main reason I didn't keep them. They're powerful hungry and could really use a sub....or a big power amp/receiver.

While at an estate auction this past summer my wife bought the contents inside of a wardrobe cabinet for $7.00 because she thought I may have wanted this turntable. Its an Optonica rp-4705 also affectionately known as the "bathtub". It was Sharp's venture into higher end electronics and this model is fairly well regarded among the vintage crowd. One neat feature is that it has a real glass cover and the unit is heavy. Finally tested it out and the automatic control arm was not working. Thanks to a Youtube vid I removed the bottom cover and removed the arm motor and cleaned off all the very old and sticky amber colored grease on all the plastic/nylon gears and such. Re-lubed where necessary and what do you know she is back up on her feet and working again.
Always fun bring something back to life again be it a motorcycle or some other odd thing.
