Topic: cb550/650z oil filter housing

Hello there. The 79 cb650z oil filter housing is longer than my cb550 one. Looking at a Honda cb650z parts catalogue
I see there should be a collar, part number 15423-333-000...which I dont have. This part has I think been discontinued,
I looked for it on the Dave Silver site. Should it be ok to fit a 550 oil housing/bolt to the 650 ?. ...Either that or what are
the dimensions of said collar. ?

Yes ..I have the cb500 filter and housing on my 650 motor...

I,ve just fitted a 550 filter house/bolt. Its the same filter on both 500/550/650
(I,m sure) so dont see any probs. I,ll take a note of dimensions though and
mark it in the book. Many thanks anyway
