Hello from Kent, UK
« on: September 26, 2021, 05:14:23 AM »
Hi everyone from Kent, United Kingdom! I've recently acquired a 1977 CB750 F2. It was bit of a barn find with no history that we could locate. I believe it was last run in 1984 (as this was when the tax disc ran out) and only has approx 5k miles on it. I've ridden bikes for around 8 years now but have limited mechanical knowledge! From what I've worked out, I believe the engine is seized due to sitting for so long. So far, this forum has been excellent for picking up tips too hopefully get this running again one day. The bike also did come with a original Honda tail box but this has been partial removed the image.

Also….do we honestly have to do the history verification quiz everytime we post  ;D

Hi zalion and welcome from Michigan USA. Nice find, I hope works out well for you.
Looks like you’re missing a sissy bar/luggage rack from the rear.
My own was parked for 15 years, I kicked it over once in a while and started it once in that time.
37 years is a long time to sit.

I can’t speak to the verification questions but I know there have been scammers and bots for this site to battle.

History verification quiz??? What's this?
If you are asking a question about your bike you need to mention what bike it is as there are many members from around the world and we don't remember who has what bike they are asking questions about.
A good thing to do is start a new project thread of your bike with all the information that you posted above in the opening post in the project shop section. That way people can scroll back to read the introduction of it later to know a bit about your bike.
Does that answer your question?

Have you read through this extensive identification of the CB750 by years and models?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Apologies for confusing you all, with the verification quiz I was referring to the questions you need to answer prior to posting a new thread. The bike is indeed a CB750 F2, the original service book and owners manual were still left under the seat which confirmed the F2 model. I also do have the top box as well however it was partial removed in the pics to make shipping easier.

I’ll start a new thread soon with all my findings :)
