Clutch?

‘76 CB 750F I just got it running and when I let the clutch out it jerks forward and stalls out. Is the clutch out of adjustment or is the clutch bad? It was my buddies bike, he passed away and I inherited it. Any tips would be helpful.

try holding higher revs(rpm)like 3000,is the rear brake frozen or you can roll the bike ok?

 The clutch is likely dried out, warm it up a couple times and the oil may distribute to the clutch discs. You can also tie the clutch lever back for a while, that might help the discs separate.

so you can get it into gear ok with the engine running so the clutch shouldnt be stuck together?

You guys were right bike sat for a couple of years. I got it into2nd gear, I let out the clutch it engaged and is working fine now
