NOS parts question for the experts!
« on: October 20, 2021, 10:46:49 am »
Going through a box that came with a bike that I bought a few years ago and have a  couple questions.

1.  NOS Honda points plate, part # 30200-300-154.  Can I use this on my upcoming K1 project?
[according to the parts fiche, the K1 plate is part # 30200-300-015]

2. NOS Honda cam chain guide, part #146-300-000, again is this good for a K1?
[According to the parts fiche, the K1 guide is part # 14611-312-000]

Tanks!

Yeah if you sign up the parts searches give you the full list of related fitment up to 250 listings, without logging in i think it lists only 25. It's a good resource for info on bikes that didn't come to the States too.

Ignition parts that have the suffix -154 are: Toyo (TEC), the ones that have -015 will be: Hitachi.

It is but as far as points, condensers and points plate are concerned they are all the same

There was a time I could spit all that stuff right out -268- -277- -283- -292-
These days, I’m ok with -300- maybe -341-
Don’t know -312-

Edit: I even got that wrong, I meant to say -275- -278-  -283- -293-
Scroll down a bit for model code numbers
https://www.cmsnl.com/help/faq/14_honda/#f14
-312- is SL350 K1

Hey Kevin...yeah, I did remember that the middle part of the part number related to the bike model.
What really confused me on these parts, IIRC received them with a CB550 that I bought, and I knew the 300 part number wasnt a 550 part.  But like Bryan mentioned, points are all the same.
