Z1 parts, Honda carb isolators
« on: October 21, 2021, 10:02:52 PM »
I need a few things that Z1 parts has, I'm wondering about their "made in japan" carb isolators or more commonly known in posts here as "crab boots", if anyone has tried them.
Since my former supplier of K0 things is no longer around (another sad deal)  I thought I would try to cut up one of their later seat foams and make a K0 ducktail foam since I have a rusty old pan parts of a red foam and a new cover.
Edit, they have a nice Honda section.

I've been using Z1 Enterprises, Z1 parts.net, Johnny's Vintage, Partzilla, and several UK and German and EBAy outlets for my Z1 project. I got my carb holders (carb to head) from Z1 Enterprises, they seem pretty nice but have not been installed yet, I'm not that far along. Parts for early Z1's are a little harder to find in some cases. There are a few carb parts that are REALLY hard to find for the early ones. Don't ask about cost.
My Z1 came with a real mixed bag of fasteners, almost none of them original so that's been a real challenge.

If you read Don's post carefully, I think he is looking for CB750 parts from "Z1 Parts" the supplier - not Z1 motorcycle parts.

In the end I used manifold rubbers softened in the ultrasonic cleaner/heater and oil of wintergreen, put them on warm and left to cool before tightening.
