could be for anything really, most likely for some sort of hardtail 70s chopper frame, someone should be along in a minute with brand and possibly specific model

I agree, looks like an oil tank from a chopper, almost certainly aftermarket.

It aint a Honda part and i agree its aftermarket chopper, dont like the oil inlet/outlet spigots as they are jubilee clip type not original screw on
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Yes. It's definitely for a chopper. I guess you'd have to make custom oil lines as well. Each side having different type of fitting.

Too bad Frank (754) isn't around still. He could probably tell you who made it. He was pretty good at identifying misc parts and pieces.
