That's cool, sure is ugly though. I wonder how hot that exhaust pipe gets?
I also wonder where he gets the amps to run those big driving lights....

Sounds good, but looks like a junior high school science project gone bad.

So far the hoax of a shortcoming in Honda's ability to make a charging system, only runs in this here forum. Thank Goodness other fora have not been infected.

It's in a motorcycle shop in Friesland. The former owner, now in his seventies had sold it. PO and first owner, never had a charging problem. Nor did I, when I, many years ago, had installed a 100 Watts H4 in the headlamp of my CB500. It was an aftermarket problem of dubious origin. The legally approved Philips Vision Plus H4 I installed later, performed better. Very durable too the latter. Due too a lame PA switch I accidentely have had both filaments (55 and 60) on numerous times. Never noticed it, until I'd enter a tunnel and noticed the blue idiot light was lit. Oh yeah, and I run 3 Ω coils...

Good question, Beemer. It's a misjudgement, I have made 32 years ago. At the time I knew not, what I know now. Good thing is, I still have the original TEC FL703-12V coils lying around and I've planned to reinstall them. Not for reasons of resistance. The Dynas force me to use R type plugs and I am not the only one that finds them less reliable than the resistor plugcaps. That is: on our bikes, which run quite rich in comparison to modern bikes. Also I find the way the caps on Dynatek wires connect to the plugs less reliable than the NGK caps do. In itself these silicone wires are superb, but the caps need these ferrules on top of the plug. This may work well under the bonnet of an automobile, but... when opposed to  riding wind as on our bikes, these very supple wires move about much more than the rather stiff ones the OEM coils have. More than once I have had a bad cap-plug contact. BTW, I am eager to learn the experience of others. Pretty soon I hope to post more on our ignitions, now that a comrade on the German forum has shared his investigation.
