Looks in great shape and I would assume its a runner.  Suzuki T500 had those distinctive tank racks also in 1970. Enjoy the new toy.

The third time my "beautiful" 1966 Bonneville broke down and my Honda 350 & 450 riding friends had to go get a pickup truck to haul my beauty home...I bought a 1972* CB500 Four.

Rode that beauty 40,000 miles by November 1974. It never left me along the road.

* I bought it in 1972, I cant recall if it was a 71 model or 72 model in the spring of 1972. Got it for $1295 with the Tax.

Funny..... my “forever bike” was a 1970 Triumph T100S. Then I bought my wife an early 400F. Two months later, the Triumph moved on and I had my first cb., 1978 550K. Been pretty loyal, ever since. My 2008 Kawasaki KLR650 is so reliable, I’ve kept it from new. The Benelli 750 SEI was suppose to be for “fun and profit” but I just can’t stop admiring it!
